I would like to share this piece of writing with you because I think I have added my feelings to it.
My first gymnastics competition
“Yahoo!" I said when I got into the car to go to, Tauranga for my first gymnastics competition.
One quarter the way to Tauranga I said I am starving can we have dinner? Mummy said ok well I'm not going to be having my dinner now. For dinner I had chicken nuggets and fries, it was delicious. In Te Kuiti we saw Daddy. that was a big surprise for me. There mum had dinner there. I just had a strawberry milkshake. It had a definitely delightful
In 1 hour I said “finally we're here mmmmmmmm YAHOOOOOO!” Mum said, “It is 10 o’clock at night here!” You have got to go to bed. "Ok," I said and so I went to bed.
In the morning my Mum said, "We have to pack the car." I said,
"It is like 7 o'clock in the morning I am so tired!" Mum said, "just do it already!" So I did.
After that I got into my gymnastics competition leotard. It is orange with blue glitter like this.
and then my track suit
And got my bag ready.
I said, "Can we do my hair in a bun.”
So mum did. After we went to my competition. I put on my toe shoes.
I wormed up in order like this. skipping rope, difficulties. My free hand ruten and my hoop routine.
After we were all finished the hosts presented the medals. I came second overall in my age group. I got a medal and a certificate. On my certificate it spelled Diana instead of Daina. When I was on the box my heart was beating fast and I had butterflies in my tummy as well
So we asked one of the judges to change the certificate to Daina. They did.
Then we went home.
